Crooked
Island
A perennial Bahamas bonefishing favorite since we introduced
it in 1993, this place continues to earn very high customer satisfaction.
It's a beautiful island with fine beaches, excellent snorkeling
and diving, vast expanses of clean flats loaded with bonefish, and
some of the best offshore fishing in the hemisphere.
If you're looking for privacy, try Scavella's Guesthouse in the
village of Landrail Point. It's a new guesthouse, fully modernized,
air-conditioned, with modern bath facilities. Nice for families,
and groups of up to 6 anglers, it provides the kind of integration
into native island life that many seek.
Two EXCELLENT guides with modern flats boats; local restaraunt
dining. Be part of an island community for a while: $2,350 per week with meals, double
occupancy with 6 day of guided bonefishing. Diving, too.
Looking for a place to take a non-fishing companion? The main lodging
here, Pittstown Point Landings, continues
to delight both anglers and non-anglers with comfortable rooms, fine
dining, and plenty of low-pressure activities. This is
NOT a hardcore fishing lodge; rather, a place where
fishing is taken seriously, but leisure is not neglected
either. Pittstown has 12 rooms, but capacity for only 8
bonefish anglers. The other clientele is made up of
divers, pilots, and just plain vacationers.
Four flats boats and one great offshore boat make up the fishing
fleet, and the guides are trained professionals.
Full week packages with meals included, and 6 days of guided
fishing are $2,495 double occupancy.
